Dr. Lester Marion completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Arts at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1968, and received his Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1972. He completed his internal medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Marion is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association, The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and the William E. Clark Society of Gastroenterology, where he served as President from 1980 to 1981.
Dr. Marion’s professional interests include general gastroenterology, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, Barrett’s esophagus and colon cancer prevention and screening. He enjoys his family, his friends and leisure activities including music, the stock market, golf and poker.
